Street Space applications are now available through the Public Works Permits Portal.
To begin your Street Space application, please register at
https://publicworkspermits.sf.gov.
As of Jan. 29, 2026 Public Works no longer accepts paper applications for the following permit types:
- Street Space
- Temporary Occupancy
- Sidewalk Repair
- Conformity Inspection
